Atlas
Every year, RISD’s graduate Graphic Design cohort develops Atlas, a collaborative publication that situates us in place and time.
An atlas is a bound collection of maps, charts, tables, diagrams, illustrations, texts, sequences, and indexes customarily designed to orient, find, discover, locate, and inform.
This publication is the sum of 16 contributions, one from each student in RISD’s Graphic Design MFA cohort — responses to the questions Who am I? and Where am I?
To help guide our inquiry and research, we were given twelve Herculean labors to complete. Those labors became the source material for our graphic explorations.
My spreads focus on the accumulation of stuff around me, and how I process it. I designed the publication cover and front/back matter with Jacob Marcus.
