Photo Survey

This publication showcases the work of RISD’s 2025 MFA Photography cohort. Developed with Cameron Burke and printed by Conveyor Studio, the book relies on show-through to recall the imperfections of focus and framing.

The book features 12 risograph prints, prepared with color-shift separation profiles by Travis Shaffer. After applying and calibrating the profiles, I printed and trimmed the photos on-site, using RISD’s risograph printer and guillotine.

The titles and artist names are set in Unit by Karl Nawrot, and on the cover we were able to separate the typeface’s geometric forms to create a registration effect when the jacket is slid on or off. The body type is set in CMM Coda by Anna Cairns.
