Nest

These animations are the results of an additive process — using a single component made of rudimentary moving shapes, repeated many times over. By altering the speed, direction and entry point of each component, more complex patterns emerge. 

In developing the final animations, I was challenged to eliminate any evidence of an obvious loop, creating the illusion that they extend infinitely. Some of the loops keep their components visible, while others are obscured through layers of effects or transformations.
